Have you heard of a dandy disco tune called Disco Santa?

Do you have an overwhelming love for donairs?
It doesn’t matter what your answers are. All you need to know is that all of your questions will be answered when The Marwills take the Root Cellar stage and melt your faces with their intense guitar-driven rock and roll.
Backstory: The Marwills are comprised of super rad dudes who made the move from Edmonton to Toronto a few years back. Some were continuing university, and whoever wasn’t decided, fuck it, we’re staying together as a band so we’re all moving! These guys are the real rock n roll deal, and we are so excited to host them in the Cellar.
Fun Fact: In the spring of 2014, The Marwills had 299 Facebook Likes. They decided that the 300th follower would win a private Marwills show. That 300th Like belongs to none other than our very own Andrea Vissia. Some people say the competition was rigged, but all we really know is The Marwills are here to honour their promise and fill the basement with their sexrockular sonic bliss!

Combining aspects of rock, soul, and dirty blues with politically conscious lyrics, Revenge of the Trees is a pleasantly piquant poutine of heart and soul. Over this past year Revenge of the Trees has shared the stage with such acts as Rah Rah, Paper Lions and Greg MacPherson and were also awarded the Rawlco 10K20 Project Grant. With their self-titled EP, released winter 2013, and their next release set for April 2015, Revenge of the Trees are continuing their steady growth through the top soils of Canada’s music scene and beyond!
